Mark Zuckerberg: No Revenue Sharing on Facebook, Instagram Until 2024

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared some updates on monetization opportunities for creators on Facebook and Instagram, highlighted by revealing that the company will not impose any revenue sharing on the two platforms until 2024, which covers features including badges, Bulletin, paid online events and subscriptions.

Meta is enabling creators give their paying subscribers on other platforms access to subscriber-only Facebook groups, saying that this marks its first investment in interoperable monetization tools for creators that let them receive payments from fans on other platforms while seamlessly offering them access to exclusive features on Facebook.

Facebook Stars were extended to creators with at least 1,000 followers over the past 60 days who are in markets where the monetization option is available and meet Meta’s partner monetization policies and content monetization policies, and month-long celebration Stars Fest returned June 15 and runs through July 15 to recognize Stars creators on the platform.
