Instagram began testing badges with more than 50,000 Instagram Live creators last October, and the monetization option is being rolled out to all eligible creators in the U.S. starting Tuesday (Nov. 16).

Badges enable creators to monetize their videos and strengthen their connections with fans, and fans who pay for badges—available in increments of $0.99, $1.99 and $4.99—will see them displayed next to their comments during videos and receive other benefits, such as addition to the creator’s list of badge holders and access to a special heart.
