TikTok Teams Up With Atmosphere

TikTok content will begin appearing on screens other than smartphones thanks to a partnership with Atmosphere.

Atmosphere provides licensed, curated streamed video content in more than 18,000 venues across 20 countries, with clients including Bowlero, Burger King, Caesars, Crunch, Meineke, Taco Bell, Texas Roadhouse and Westin, in locations such as airlines, bars, break rooms, casinos, dispensaries, gyms, hair salons, health clubs, hotels, laundromats, medical waiting rooms, nail salons, restaurants, spas, veterinary clinics and wellness centers.

The company repurposes content from platforms such as YouTube in channels that it develops, but the TikTok partnership will bring its first channel dedicated to a specific platform, as well as the first time TikTok content is used for an out-of-home video offering.

Atmosphere co-founder and CEO Leo Resig told Ingrid Lunden of TechCrunch the two companies have been working on the partnership and the appearance of the channel for eight months, and TikTok told Lunden the move...
