Messenger From Facebook extended the option of using end-to-end encryption to voice calls and video calls.
End-to-end encryption has been available for chats on Facebook’s flagship messaging application since 2016.
Messenger director of product management Ruth Kricheli said in a blog post Friday that there are more than 150 million video calls on the app every day, adding, “People expect their messaging apps to be secure and private and, with these new features, we’re giving them more control over how private they want their calls and chats to be.”
