Messenger From Facebook, Facebook Open Arts Team Up on 360-Degree Backgrounds

The messaging application and the creativity community are teaming up with six artists from underrepresented communities, and each of those artists will release a new 360-degree background for Messenger Rooms and video calls, incorporating their cultural influences and unique stories.

First-generation Mexican American Ana Serrano is first up, and Messenger wrote in a blog post Thursday, “Ana’s work highlights the socio-cultural elements of urban life in Latino neighborhoods, and she is especially captivated by how residents shape and decorate their spaces.
