Disney Channel and Disney XD achieved historic ratings in 2010, and the new preschool brand Disney Junior launched in February to great success. Disney XD marked its second anniversary with nine consecutive growth quarters and Disney Channel continues to rank No. 1 among Tweens in Total Day for the second consecutive year. Disney Junior led Disney Channel’s best quarter ever among Kids 2-5. Disney Junior will also become its own 24-hour channel in 2012.

Disney Channels Worldwide is ramping up its programming development, increasing episodic delivery an average 30 percent in 2011 while Disney Channel is increasing its original movie slate to six to seven per year.

Its kid-driven, family-inclusive approach appeals to not only kids and tweens, but also moms: Disney Channel is No. 1 with mothers  in Primetime among all cable networks.
