BON VIVANTS IN MINNEAPOLIS Kerker & Associates gives new meaning to the phrase "pass the bread" when the Minneapolis agency moves this week to new offices on France Avenue South from the less romantic West 80th Street.

The whole theme of the move is "We're moving to France." At least 50 Kerker employees will be spaced across the 1.3 miles between the old and new homes on July 31, each of them wearing French tri-color shirts and berets.
Beginning at 9 a.m., a French bread baton will be relayed from staffer to staffer until it is carried triumphantly into the lobby of the 7701 France Ave. South building. Espresso and French pastries will be served.
"We have our own way of doing things at Kerker and we hope others get a kick out it," said Michelle Le Mieur, the public relations account executive at Kerker who has been one of the event's organizers.
The agency is leaving a space it has occupied for nearly 27 years and long ago outgrew, she said. The move culminates six months of planning for employees, who have helped design department office layouts. -Scott Hume
