First major online video pact for the news network

Oct 3, 2008

NEW YORK Bloomberg Television has struck its first major online video syndication deal, making content available on AOL Money & Finance.

The deal between the Time Warner online arm and the financial news network comes amid increased interest in business news because of the financial crisis.

Under the agreement, AOL Money & Finance will feature 20 new video clips from Bloomberg every weekday.

"Bloomberg has earned its reputation for outstanding coverage of the business and financial world, and we're excited to be the first financial site, other than Bloomberg.com, to carry its video content," said Marty Moe, senior vp AOL Money & Finance, news, sports, Weblogs and KOL.

AOL Money & Finance also features video content from CNBC, among others.

Bloomberg Television recently also struck a deal with Google's TV Ads platform. Under that, it is making national cable ad time in the U.S. available for sale via the Google ad sales platform.
