N.Y. Shop Warren Kremer Becomes WKP-Spier

July 1, 2008

- Adweek Staff

NEW YORK Warren Kremer Paino has changed its name to WKP-Spier, and the agency's publishing division, Spier New York, will be incorporated into the parent company.

The new name recognizes the contribution made to the agency by Warren Kremer Paino's acquisition of Spier New York in 2006, the shop said, and it comes at a time when WKP-Spier is concentrating its efforts on clients who share the same target audience: an affluent, educated and culturally sophisticated consumer.

The agency is making no changes in account management or personnel but has unveiled a new site, www.wkpspier.com, and blog.

"We believe our knowledge of this particular consumer is what will allow us to continue to grow as an agency," said Tom McCartin, president, WKP-Spier. "At a time when more and more advertisers are realizing the importance of their brand, our focus has shifted to helping them better connect their brand to their most desirable prospects."

Clients include Kraft Foods, Diageo, Helmsley Hotels, the State of Maine, Delta Dental, Random House, Doubleday, Millennium Partners and Oberoi Hotels, among others.
