C-K Picks Up Mohawk Flooring

Independent shop scores 3rd client addition in recent weeks

Oct 7, 2008

- David Gianatasio

BOSTON Cramer-Krasselt's Milwaukee office continued its winning ways, adding its third account in recent weeks, Mohawk Industries (and its Karastan brand), following a review.

The independent shop adds advertising, media and public relations chores, the last handled via its CKPR unit. Media spending is approximately $10 million.

Marc USA was the incumbent.

David Duncan, client vp, marketing said: "C-K's track record of delivering insight-driven campaigns that differentiates brands -- combined with their experience working with retailers for Sealy and Bissell -- really secured our confidence in this partnership."

"Mohawk is a dynamic company that fits with our deep experience with home brands," said Betsy Brown, vp, gm of the agency's Milwaukee office. "We look forward to working with them to change the conversation about floor covering by engaging consumers earlier in the consideration process."

C-K's other two recent wins were Johnsonville Sausage and Rayovac batteries.
