The partnership will give Comcast-owned Xfinity access to always-on in-stream branded integrations, category exclusivity, co-marketing rights, custom segments, an entitlement event and media and product placement.
Xfinity is also working with /twitchgaming on activations including Xfinity: First Plays, a custom segment during the channel’s Game Releases show where streamers showcase new titles, and debates on nominees for Twitch’s upcoming Chat’s Choice Awards during The Weekly.
Twitch said the partnership with Xfinity was revealed during Thursday’s episode of The Weekly, and more than 270,000 unique viewers tuned in, tallying over 1 million total minutes watched.
