Video software solution Vimeo and video creation platform TikTok entered a partnership that integrates the former’s video tools with the latter’s platform, making it easier for small and midsized businesses to create effective video ads.
Vimeo was also added to the TikTok Marketing Partners program, becoming the first partner to earn a badge in the new “Creative Tools” subcategory of “Creative Partners.”
The integration is available to all of Vimeo’s roughly 200 million users.
Pointing out that videos on TikTok have short shelf lives, meaning that businesses should look to post at least three times per week, Vimeo said SMBs on TikTok can now use advanced artificial intelligence-driven tool Vimeo Create to produce and publish ads directly into TikTok Ad Manager.
Vimeo and TikTok also created custom video templates that are optimized for the TikTok platform and exclusively available via Vimeo Create.
The two companies conducted pre-release tests of the combined capabilities with select advertisers, and Vimeo said those campaign saw click-through rates up to 50% higher than those of previous campaigns, and participants were about to double their video output in a short period of time.
NaturalAnnie Essentials, a family-run soy candle company based in Bridgeport, Conn., saw a 5.5 times boost in conversion rate within the first two weeks of its campaign when compared with other forms of online advertising, and CEO Annya White-Brown said in a statement, “We’ve saved thousands of dollars, the stress of shipping candles to a production studio and lots of headaches by using Vimeo for our TikTok ads. Vimeo Create made it super easy—it was as simple as adding your assets to the templates to fit your brand. Now we create anywhere from 30 to 75 videos per month.”
TikTok head of ecosystem partnerships Melissa Yang added, “As small businesses recover and rebuild after a challenging year, TikTok is working on ways to make it easier to reach their community and grow their business.
