Reddit officially opened an office to serve Canada, located on University Avenue in Toronto and managed by head of international Tariq Mahmoud, who also oversaw the platform’s expansion into the U.K. last September.
Canada marks the third largest user base for Reddit, behind the U.S. and the U.K., with 59% of Canadian Redditors between the ages of 18 and 34 and women making up more than 40% of them.
Reddit said its Canadian users are spending 31 minutes per day on the application, adding that over 20% of Redditors in the country are not on Facebook, while 70% are not TikTok users and nearly 35% are not on Twitter.
