Pinterest Is Powering Visual Search for Samsung’s New Galaxy S8, S8+

Users can choose images from photos or screenshots they've taken

Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones Wednesday, and image search in the phones’ Bixby intelligent interface will be powered by none other than Pinterest.

Pinterest said in an email to Social Pro Daily that the visual search function in the two new Samsung smartphones will work in the same way as the social network’s recently introduced Pinterest Lens feature and its browser extensions. Users will be able to choose images from photos or screenshots they have taken, or from the web via the Samsung Internet application, and then tap the image search button in Bixby Vision to discover similar products and ideas.
