SND announced the award at its 37th annual workshop at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., with the social network joining the four winners for world’s best-designed newspapers:
- Dagens Nyheter (Sweden)
- De Morgen (Belgium)
- The Guardian (U.K.)
- Politiken (Denmark)
The judges for the digital award were Fernando Diaz of the Center for Investigative Reporting, Ted Irvine of Vox Media and Martina Schories of Sueddeutsche Zeitung.
