The Product Director Behind Spotify’s Discover Weekly Is Heading to Instagram

Matthew Ogle had been in the music industry for more than 12 years

Spotify product director Matthew Ogle, best known for his work on the music streaming service’s Discover Weekly feature, is on his way to Instagram.

Ogle announced his move in a tweet, mentioning that he has spent more than 12 years in the music industry and is “trying something new.”

Ogle worked on personalization efforts at Spotify but did not indicate what he would be doing at Instagram.

Peter Kafka of Recode reported that prior to joining Spotify in January 2015, Ogle founded music startup This Is My Jam.
