YouTube detailed five ways that it's working to protect families

YouTube revealed five ways that it’s working to protect families and young viewers from inappropriate content on its main platform, as well as YouTube Kids.

These actions will address content that “attempts to pass as family-friendly, but is clearly not,” such as videos “with family entertainment characters but containing mature themes or adult humor.”

In a blog post, Johanna Wright, vice president of product management at YouTube, broke down the five different actions YouTube has taken and/or will take in the future (a full breakdown of each action is available here):

  1. Tougher application of our Community Guidelines and faster enforcement through technology.
