American Express, Resy Want You to Order Takeout on Tuesday

The companies teamed up to boost local, independent restaurants on what is typically a quiet day for them

Tuesday is one of the slowest days of the week for restaurants, but American Express and reservation management platform Resy are teaming up to speed things up.

The two companies kicked off their “Order In, Help Out” campaign Monday with two elements, #TakeoutTuesday and Deja Food.

Data from American Express shows that 89% of small, independent restaurant owners currently depend on takeout orders to remain in business, due to the pandemic, while Resy confirmed via its data that Tuesday is one of the slowest days of the week for those businesses.
