Just in time for Halloween, YouTube revealed the costume and makeup ideas, movie trailers and music videos that are trending for the holiday on its platform.

Globally, the character Optimus Prime from the Transformers franchise is the most popular costume on YouTube this year. Also on the top 10 list are Anna and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen and Fortnite, the popular video game that has taken the world by storm over the past year.

Here are the top 10 Halloween costumes on YouTube for 2018:

  1. Optimus Prime and Transformers
  2. Elsa
  3. Moana
  4. Princess
  5. Harley Quinn
  6. Anna
  7. Pumpkin
  8. Fortnite
  9. Clown
  10. Spider-Man

Some of these costumes have been on the top 10 list for multiple years.

YouTube also ranked the top 10 costumes that are new to 2018’s rankings:

YouTube said it saw an increase in views of dog costume-related videos in 2017, so it shared a list of some of the most popular videos in this category:

Next, YouTube said the world of visual effects makeup has been growing in popularity on its platform so far in 2018.
