LinkedIn Further Integrates With ‘Corporate Sibling’ Microsoft Office 365

Insights on people from the professional network can be added to Outlook calendars

LinkedIn announced two new additions to its integration with Microsoft Office 365, building upon last September’s integration of LinkedIn profile cards and Microsoft Office 365 profile cards.

Director of product Liz Li revealed in a blog post that insights from LinkedIn on people that users are about to meet with can now be added directly to their calendars in Outlook.

She wrote, “I often meet with people I don’t already know, and it’s always helpful to start with a personal insight.”

Li also said people can now email or co-author content in Word, PowerPoint or Excel with their first-degree connections on LinkedIn, without the requirement of having their email addresses stored in their Outlook contacts.
