Facebook’s Fundraisers Features Got Some New Functionality

Users can now match donations to their causes benefiting nonprofits

Facebook Friday announced several updates to its fundraisers feature, highlighted by the ability for people to match donations to their nonprofit fundraisers.

The social network also added four new categories for fundraisers for personal causes, and it revealed that it will eliminate the platform fee on all fundraisers for personal causes in the coming weeks.

Facebook said more than 1.5 million nonprofits are using pages to build communities and connect with supporters, volunteers and donors, adding that over 750,000 nonprofits have used its fundraising tools and products.
