‘Tis the season for holiday ads that combine the festive spirit with deeply sentimental narratives. Chevrolet is no exception as the brand debuts an emotional campaign that takes a look at how grief can play a natural part of the season.

For “Holiday Ride,” the brand collaborated with agency Commonwealth//McCann to bring the story to life—along with the help of director Tom Hopper, cinematographer Claudio Miranda and composer Rachel Portman.

The four-minute spot follows a widower who is struggling to find holiday cheer as he mourns his wife.
