Around six months into his new role, GroupM North America CEO Kirk McDonald is looking ahead at what the changes of 2020 mean for the year ahead.

McDonald joined Adweek’s Outlook 2021 virtual event for a discussion with deputy editor of agencies Minda Smiley for a conversation focusing on the importance of connectivity, purpose and relevance.

Automation and a 5G Future

In relation to this year’s virtual CES conference, McDonald said the focus was around further evolutions in smart home automation and an increase in connectivity with the adaptation of 5G technology presents exciting opportunities for marketers:
