People who still dream about running away and joining the circus can now do it without leaving the Snapchat application, as long as they are a Verizon 5G customer.
Cirque du Soleil, Snap Inc. and Verizon teamed up on an augmented reality lens inspired by the O by Cirque du Soleil show currently playing at Bellagio in Las Vegas.
The lens, built by Snap’s Arcadia AR creative studio, uses advanced motion capture technology to re-create O in a virtual environment, and Snap said the three-minute experience leverages the fast speeds, increased capacity and low latency of Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network.
