Snapsaved Was Responsible for Snapchat Leak

A third-party application for saving disappearing snaps claimed responsibility for the recent leak, saying its servers were compromised.

Snapsaved, one of the third-party applications that allows users to save disappearing snaps, took responsibility for the recent leak, saying its site was hacked. Snapsaved.com’s Facebook page posted a response to the allegation that an administrator for the site provided hackers with the images.

From the statement:

I would like to inform the public that snapsaved.com was hacked, the dictionary index the poster is referring to, was never publicly available. We had a misconfiguration in our Apache server.
