Facebook Preps Digital Assistant to Help Messenger Users Shop
Siri … Cortana … Moneypenny? Facebook is reportedly working on its own virtual digital assistant.
However, according to The Information, Moneypenny (code name) is more of a shopping assistant than a productivity assistant, like its Apple and Microsoft counterparts.
The Information reported:
The company is working on a feature within Facebook Messenger that allows users to ask real people for help researching and ordering products and services, among other tasks. It’s being referred to internally as “Moneypenny,” according to three people briefed on it.
