Kamcord Raises $15 Million for Gameplay Recording Platform

Mobile gaming social network Kamcord has announced it has raised $15 million in Series B funding, in a round led by Puzzle & Dragons developer GungHo Online Entertainment. The round included participation from Tencent, Wargaming, TransLink Capital and others. Kamcord’s technology allows users to record and share videos of their best moments in supported mobile games, while its standalone app provides a hub for viewing these videos in a single place.

Kamcord will use this funding to “aggressively” expand its team in the United States, as well as further scale its operations in Asia (the company has previously opened an office in Japan).
