Facebook Rolls Out Rights Manager for Images

The original tool, enabling rights holders to protect videos, debuted in April 2016

Facebook Monday introduced Rights Manager for Images, a new version of its Rights Manager intellectual property protection tool that uses image matching technology to help creators and publishers protect and manage their images at scale.

Page administrators can submit applications here for content they have created and wish to protect, and Rights Manager will find matching content on Facebook and Instagram.

Settings can be adjusted, such as determining whether ownership over that content applies worldwide or only in certain locations.
