Facebook revealed a Sept. 30 deadline for Android applications on its Facebook Audience Network monetization platform to convert to bidding-only.

The company said last October that iOS apps have a March 31 deadline to go bidding-only.

The move was a response to upcoming changes to iOS 14, but Facebook said at the time that its goal when it first began testing bidding on Audience Network in March 2017 was to eventually migrate the platform to a bidding-only demand source, and Apple’s iOS 14 updates merely accelerated the process.

Facebook Audience Network said in an updated blog post that new iOS apps onboarding to its platform began doing so with bidding-only as the default monetization option March 1, and the same will be true for Android apps starting May 31.
