World Police & Fire Games Select Allison & Partners as AOR
The World Police & Fire Games (WPFG) have chosen the New York office of Allison & Partners as its 2011 AOR, hired to help raise awareness and sponsorships for the event. The firm will provide media relations, crisis comms, and digital services as well as strategic counsel and event support.
The WPFG is the second largest multi-sport event behind the Olympics. It’s biennial, following the Olympic model. More than 15,000 police officers and firefighters from more than 70 countries participate in 69 events over the course of 10 days.
This year, the event will be held in New York City for the first time, taking place between August 28 and September 5. One of two planned ceremonies, the “Candle-light Vigil,” will remember those lost on 9/11 during this ten-year anniversary of the tragedy.
