Will the 'NY Times' Paywall Impact Your Media Strategy?
In a letter from New York Times publisher Arthur O. Sulzberger, the news outlet introduced its highly-anticipated digital pay structure. The paywall goes up first in Canada and will be launched here and around the world on March 28.
Home delivery subscribers won’t see a difference, and subscribers to The International Herald Tribune will also have access to NYTimes.com.
Everyone else gets 20 free articles per month before they’re asked to pay for a subscription.
Smartphone and tablet apps will offer free “Top News” and put everything else behind the paywall.
