Twitter Preps for 2018 NFL Draft With Emojis, Mock Draft

Twitter is going hashtag-triggered-emoji-happy for the 2018 National Football League Draft, which kicks off Thursday night.

Fans who include the hashtag #NFLDraft in their tweets will see this new emoji:

In addition, each first-round draft pick will have his own hashtag-triggered emoji shortly after they are drafted. For example, if the Cleveland Browns draft quarterback Sam Darnold, including the hashtag #SamDarnold would add the Browns’ logo emoji to tweets.

Finally, Twitter conducted its own mock draft, based on the players that have been mentioned the most in tweets discussing specific teams and the NFL Draft, with priority given to the team with the higher draft pick in cases where players were mentioned alongside numerous teams. Here’s how it turned out:
