Twitter debuted Fleets earlier this week, allowing users to share disappearing tweets to their tops of their feeds, similar to how one shares disappearing posts to Instagram or Facebook Stories. Our guide will show you how to send a Fleet in the Twitter mobile application.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the Twitter app on iOS.

Step 1: Tap “Add” in the top-left corner of your Twitter home feed.

Step 2: Swipe right or left on the modes at the bottom of the screen to choose which type of Fleet to send. “Text” allows you to share a text post, “Camera Roll” allows you to choose a photo or video from your device’s library, “Capture” allows you to take a new photo (or video) and “Video” allows you to record a new video.

Each of these options allows you to customize your Fleet in different ways before sharing it. For instance, in the “Text” mode, you can change your post’s background color, as well as tap icons that allow you to change your text’s alignment (left, right or center), make the font bold, change the text’s color, add a background to the text and change the color of this background. You can also add text to photo and video posts and customize that text using the same options.

Step 3: When you’re done editing your post, tap the “Fleet” button in the top-right corner of the screen to post it.
