TikTok chief information security officer Roland Cloutier outlined the video-creation platform’s security focus for the near future.

Cloutier said in a blog post that TikTok is engaged with leading cyber security firms to accelerate its work in advancing and adhering to globally recognized security control standards including NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and SOC2.

TikTok plans to open a Transparency Center in its Los Angeles office next month, and Cloutier said its work on cyber defense, security assistance and data protection will be featured front and center.

He added that TikTok continues to limit the number of employees with access to user data, as well as scenarios where data access is enabled.
