Niantic revealed the next Legendary Pokemon scheduled for release in Pokemon Go: Rayquaza.
Originally found in the Hoenn region of the Pokemon universe, Rayquaza will be available to capture in Raid Battles around the world from Feb. 9 through March 16.
In addition, Niantic said additional Dragon- and Flying-type Pokemon from the Hoenn region will begin appearing in the game Feb. 9. With the release of these new Pokemon, the game will contain more than 100 Pokemon from the Hoenn region.
To celebrate this milestone, Niantic launched a limited-time in-game event causing every wild Pokemon players encounter to be one from the Hoenn region.
