Facebook Wants Users to Discover People With New iOS, Android Feature

Facebook is all about connections, and the social network is introducing a new way to spark some of those connections with its new Discover People feature, which it just began rolling out for its iOS and Android flagship applications.

The feature began rolling out in New Zealand and Australia at the end of 2016, Sarah Perez of TechCrunch reported, and Facebook confirmed to Perez that iOS and Android users are starting to gain access to Discover People, with a spokesperson telling her:

Too often, it’s hard to learn more about people around you, whether it is upon starting a new job, joining a new group, deciding if you want to attend an event or moving to a new place.
