Facebook is giving developers and publishers a chance to see what they can do with its Facebook Live video-streaming feature.
Product manager Daniel Danker provided details about the Facebook Live API (application-programming interface)—which was introduced by the social network at its F8 global developers’ conference in San Francisco Tuesday—in a Facebook Media blog post.
Danker wrote that the Facebook Live API will enable developers and publishers to:
- Seamlessly incorporate Facebook Live into their existing broadcast setups.
- Create new ways to interact with viewers.
