Despite Vaccines, It's Another Ho-Hum Holiday Season

This year's seasonal gatherings won't be like 2020—but they also won't resemble 2019

Last year’s holiday season featured smaller tables, less food and minimal accoutrements that typically accompany large celebrations as many people avoided gathering indoors and in large groups because of the pandemic. 

And while this year’s holidays won’t be as pared down thanks to the Covid-19 vaccines, they’ll still remain modest, according to a new Adweek-Morning Consult poll. 

Top Line

Nearly half of adults (46%) report their holiday celebrations will be about the same size as they were in 2020, while a quarter will attend larger gatherings this year.
