Debra Lee Stepped Down From Twitter’s Board of Directors
She will fill a similar role at AT&T
Longtime BET Networks chairman and CEO Debra Lee joined Twitter’s board of directors in May 2016, becoming the first African American to hold a seat. Lee gave up that seat Monday, and she will join telecommunications giant AT&T’s board of directors.
Twitter revealed Lee’s exit from its board in a Form 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and Lee said in a statement included with that filing, “Twitter is a terrific company with a clear mission and strong leadership team.
