Comic Publisher Petitions Apple for Ratings System

In more comic-related news, in a story that evokes shades of an earlier era, an Irish comic publisher is lobbying Apple to embrace content ratings after its graphic novel was dropped from the company’s App Store, according to RCR Wireless News.

Apple recently rejected Infurious Comics’ ‘Murderdrome,’ a comic that had been offered for purchase on iPods and iPhones. The report said that the first episode can be viewed on the publisher’s Web site and “depicts scenes from the deadliest sport known to man and features sword-wielding competitors in a death match.” Infurious is asking fans to sign an online petition that they will eventually forward over to Cupertino.
