Bing Dinged
Microsoft’s Bing search engine was down for about 45 minutes Thursday night as the result of a configuration change during internal testing, CNET reported.
Microsoft senior vice president, online-services division Satya Nadella explained the outage in a post on the Bing Search blog:
Bing.com was down between about 6:30 and 7 p.m. Pacific Time Dec 3, 2009. During this time, users were either unable to get to the site, or their queries were returning incomplete results page.
