The Super Thanks monetization option that YouTube introduced for select creators last July is now available to all eligible creators across 68 locations in the YouTube Partner Program.

The feature enables fans watching videos on the Google-owned platform to purchase Super Thanks at various points, between $2 and $50 (or the equivalent in their local currency), in order to express their gratitude and show support for their favorite creators and content. Those who do so will see an animated GIF right on the video, along with a colorful comment highlighting their purchase.

YouTube added that those comments can now be customized.

Eligible creators can enable Super Thanks with one click in YouTube Studio.

Product manager for paid digital goods Samantha Stevens wrote in a blog post, “Everyday, YouTube creators help me learn or achieve something new—from baking sourdough during the pandemic to fixing my bike just last week. Imagine if you could say a special thank you to your favorite creators or show appreciation for specific videos that have taught you something new or helped you. With Super Thanks, now you can.”
