YouTube Adds Sounds From Shorts Playlist

Creators can use songs in videos they discover for their own efforts

YouTube took a page from the TikTok playbook with its debut Wednesday of a feature that enables creators to tap the sound button in the bottom-right corner of YouTube Shorts and access a sounds page showing other Shorts using the same sound.

Hitting the Save button on a sound will add it to a new Sounds From Shorts playlist in both the flagship YouTube application and YouTube Music, and users can create new Shorts using that sound.
