Snap Inc. CEO Evan Spiegel unveiled the new Quick Tap to Snap feature for Google’s Pixel 6 smartphone at the tech giant’s Pixel Fall Launch event Tuesday.

The partnership marks the first time Snap has created a camera mode version of Snapchat that is accessible directly from the lock screen of a smartphone, and it will enable the Pixel 6 to be the quickest phone to create Snaps with.

The two companies said tapping the back of the phone will enable Snapchatters to quickly capture moments and create Snaps without unlocking their devices by being taken directly into Camera Only mode.

Once a Snap is ready to share, the user can authenticate on their device to unlock the full Snapchat application experience.
