Goodwill Industries International, Facebook Elevate and Coursera joined forces on an initiative to bring social media marketing skills to job seekers.

Facebook Elevate, the social network’s community and learning platform, and online learning provider Coursera developed a five-course program designed to enable people with no prior industry experience to earn a social media marketing professional certificate.

The self-paced online program is designed to be completed within 20 weeks and provides 100 hours of hands-on, project-based training.

Facebook Elevate is funding Goodwill, enabling it to distribute 6,000 scholarships covering the full cost of the training program.
