Social audio application Clubhouse and ad verification platform DoubleVerify were among eight new companies to sign on to the Code of Practice on Disinformation from the European Commission.

They were joined by online video platform Vimeo and five organizations that provide specific expertise and technical solutions to fight disinformation: Avaaz, Globsec, Logically, NewsGuard and WhoTargetsMe.

The EC established the Code of Practice on Disinformation in October 2018, and it was strengthened in May to address shortcomings and help provide a firm response to disinformation.
