Back in 2006 Ze Frank launched what would become one of first popular daily video programs—"The Show With Ze Frank." The show ran for a year, from March 17, 2006 until March 17, 2007 and combined everything from commentary on world events to songs, games, challenges for fans and more. Five years later, Ze Frank fans still look back fondly on the show and will be happy to hear that he’s bringing it back!

Ze Frank announced that he’s bringing back “The Show” in a new $50,000 Kickstarter campaign that went up yesterday.  With 9 days to go, the campaign has already surpassed it pledge goal, currently clocking in at $58,858 raised.  Ze Frank explains that, “All of the funds raised here will go towards the production of the show – equipment, salaries for people that will help me, rent.  I will find other ways to pay myself.”

So what can we expect?  Here’s a snippet from the Kickstarter campaign:

“Some things will be familiar.  My face, my voice, politics, news, science, whatever else is happening in the world, the celebration of the spontaneous…and surprises.

“But the core of the original show was never really about what I did.  It was about what you did.  And I have no idea what is going to happen there.  It’s risky, unknown and awesome.  I will be asking you to make things, to do things, and to surprise me.  We will use the world as our playground and I have the technology to back it up.  If I don’t, I will make it.”

For starters, the show will consist of around three episodes per week for a year and then Ze Frank plans to see where things go from there.  Check out the Kickstarter video below to find out more and let us know what you think.  How excited are you for the return of the show?
