VETERANS DAY: 242M U.S. Facebook Users Are Friends with Veterans, Active Duty Members
The U.S. celebrated Veterans Day Tuesday, and Facebook data analyst Betsy Cameron reported in a Newsroom post that 4 million U.S. users of the social network are veterans or active duty members.
The U.S. celebrated Veterans Day Tuesday, and Facebook data analyst Betsy Cameron reported in a Newsroom post that 4 million U.S. users of the social network are veterans or active duty members.
Cameron added that 12.5 million U.S. users are family members of veterans or active duty members, and 242 million are friends with members of those groups.
The states with the largest proportion of monthly active users who lists themselves as veterans or active duty members are:
- Hawaii
- Alaska
- Virginia
- North Carolina
- South Carolina
- North Dakota
- Colorado
- Georgia
- Washington, D.C.
