Tweet in HD on Panasonic VIERA CAST Plasma TVs

Panasonic announced the integration of Twitter with its VIERA CAST-enabled plasma HDTV models from the VT25, VT20, G25, and G20 series, adding that the feature will soon be rolled out to its VIERA CAST-enabled Blu-ray Disc Players.

Twitter joins Skype, Netflix, Pandora, Fox Sports, Amazon Video-on-Demand, YouTube, Google’s Picasa Web Album, Bloomberg, and a weather service on the Panasonic sets.

Blu-ray Disc Players that will soon receive the Twitter feature are the DMP-BDT350 (full HD 3D), DMP-BDT300 (full HD 3D), DMP-BD85, DMP-BD70V, DMP-BD65, and DMP-B500 (portable).

Vice president of corporate development Merwan Mereby said:
