TikTok allows you to change the look of your videos with a variety of filters that are separated into categories like “Portrait,” “Life” and “Food.” With so many filters to choose from, did you know that you can hide unwanted filters from the filters menu to make browsing the remaining ones a bit easier? Our guide will show you how this works.
Note: These screenshots were captured in the TikTok application on iOS.
Step 1: On the TikTok camera screen, tap “Filters” on the right side of the screen. Note: You can also access the filters menu on the video editing screen by tapping “Filters” at the bottom of the screen.
Step 2: Swipe from right to left on the filter categories until you see “Management.”
Step 3: Tap “Management.”
Step 4: Tap the checkmark to the right of each filter you wish to hide. Note: You can tap the different categories along the left side of the screen to see and hide filters in these categories. Also note that some filters aren’t allowed to be hidden (their checkmarks will appear grayed out).
Once you’ve hidden one or more filters, you can close the management menu (tap the screen anywhere above the menu) to see only the filters that you’ve chosen to remain visible (or that simply can’t be hidden).
